The first step in the lost wax process is mouldmaking using silicone or rubber. This captures all the details of the original and will determine how the piece is cast.

For complex moulds suited to hardware, ornaments, and lighting we produce multi-part silicone moulds.
Plaster Skin
Ideal for larger artworks that need painted waxes, these moulds capture every fine detail.
Mould Archive
We keep many moulds for decades and continue to produce editions from them. They are categorised and stored in our mould archive.
Guidance
We plan a lot of technical aspects of a project at the mouldmaking stage so it's a good time for us to iron out the details of your project.
- You can provide your own mould if you have an existing one.
- Almost any material can be used as an original pattern.
- Some pieces will need to be split up to create the mould and produce a good casting.
